Ok, I am not coming again (dam it) because of work…..I have B&B guest that weekend. I will miss seeing all of you, so I will give you a brief run down on my life….

After school I went to (sounds so plain) beauty school! Remember I was a tom boy so it was a big change into the high fashion world but I loved it. Opened a salon with my older sister and started doing well, opened another, started doing fashion shoots, but really got bored with Florida (all those Q-tip hair styles just got to me) as I needed more fashion stimulation.

Moved to Los Angles and went into professional make up school (yes we’re talking about cuts, bruises, blood, prosthetic stuff, more advanced fashion make up for film (features) T.V. still photo shoots etc….) kind of school. Broke into commercials (those interruptions on your T. V.) working with some of the best film crews in the world….yes I love it.

Married (should of known to stay away from those Sarasota High boys) Robert Gray. We had two incredible children, a boy and a girl. When the children were 5 and 3, 10 years ago, we (children and I) moved to Martha’s Vineyard because divorcing and raising the children in Los Angeles (working in the film industry was 10 hours minimum and that is not including driving the freeway for one to two hours back and forth from home) was not what I call reality!

The children learn the BMW before the ABC’s in LA. We now live on an island off the coast of Massachusetts that is 100 square miles with six towns; Aquinnah, Chilmark (this is where we live) and West Tisbury is Up Island…which is really South and Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven are down island which is North (don’t ask it is a nautical thing!!)…lots of little Cape Cod houses, light houses, stone walls with little sheep and of course beautiful beaches, oh yea, best thing, it would be very hard to get lost for long!

Just keep driving around. We have a bed & breakfast in an old 1700 school house (just can’t get away from school - would it be called skipping if I left home?) I also still do Make up and Hair for commercials, MTV and still shoots though not as much. A little hard to drive to work when I have to get on a ferry just to get off the island.

So when you get a LL Bean catalog just think of me. Any way I’m glad I moved, I am happy, still crazy and think I am still in High school (do we ever really age in our own minds?. I will miss seeing all of you…….lots of hugs and kisses….Liz Pickett

Hard to believe it's been 30 years! Where did the time go? I know I don't show the years at all LOL.

I am living in Missouri (Kansas City area) and have been here since 1988 when we moved from Jacksonville, Florida. I have two boys Gregg (20) who is a sophomore at Missouri State University in Springfield Missouri and Jered (15) who is a sophomore at Blue Springs South High School. I have had several careers in my 30 years since RHS, but I am currently a seventh grade language arts teacher. I love my job but it keeps me on my toes. Kids are so different these days then when we were in school.

I am active in my school, church, community, and Boy Scouts. I still get down to Florida at least twice a year as all of my family is still in the area.

My recent picture is from my Grandma Carrie's 100th birthday celebration last summer. My youngest son, Jered, is the tallest in the picture and my oldest son, Gregg, would tell you he’s the best looking.

I really hope I can see everyone this October, but I am not sure I can make it yet.
